My Approach

I truly believe everyone goes through a period of time when they can benefit from working with a counselor who can look at things objectively and offer suggestions, feedback, and direction ito create the changes that are desired.  I offer counseling services in a compassionate, nurturing environment and I focus on what is most important to you. I have been providing counseling services to teenagers, adults, couples, and families since 1997 with the hopes of helping them live healthy, happy lives and I look forward to beginning our relationship to create the life you are hoping for.

Cognitive Behavioral

CBT or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a common type of talk therapy (psychotherapy) where beliefs, thoughts, and actions are evaluated, challenged, and perhaps replaced with healthier, more effective ways of thinking and interacting.  CBT has been proven effective in addressing and managing many mental health conditions but also with coping and resolving stressful life situations.


Person Centered is a therapy approach based on the belief that each person has the capacity and desire for personal growth and change and this belief directs therapy in a way that services offered to a client allows them to develop personalized solutions to particular challenges they are facing.  The approach is very much directed by the client within an understanding and empowering environment.



Solution Focused is an approach identifying current difficulties one is experiencing and developing skills and tools to resolve and cope with what is particularly challenging in one’s life.  With this type of therapy, the here and now, potential solutions, and future goals are the main focus of treatment.
